Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Amanda MacDonald is a registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) in Bracebridge, Ontario. She holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology with a minor in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. 

She strongly believes in creating a safe environment and working towards building a trusting therapeutic relationship. She is here to listen to your story and assist in guiding you down your path to mental wellness. She will work collaboratively with you throughout your journey to achieve your goals. She prides herself on utilizing an integrative, client centered approach, where she will pull from different modalities to create a unique treatment plan geared to your needs and abilities, to fill your toolbox with the skills and coping mechanisms that will benefit you most. She is passionate about working with youth and adults, to assist in the multitude of struggles in this world, including stress management, anxiety, emotional regulation, self-harm, self-esteem, and managing diagnoses such as ADHD or Autism. She has also worked with couples and families to reconnect and rebuild their relationships. I look forward to meeting you and assisting you on your journey! 

Amanda is always working towards expanding her knowledge and experience to provide everyone with the supports and services they deserve. In her free time, when not studying new information to expand her skills, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, family and friends. She enjoys camping, going to the beach and snuggling up to read a good book or watch a great horror film!
