Steps in the Assessment Process
Referral: A request for assessment is made by your therapist. Please discuss with you therapist if you have interest in receiving a psychological assessment, and they can guide you in the process.
Planning: The psychologist selects appropriate tools and methods based on the referral question.
Data Collection: Administering tests, conducting interviews, and gathering information.
Analysis: Interpreting the data to identify patterns, strengths, and challenges.
Reporting: Summarizing findings in a written report and providing feedback to the individual or referring party.
Recommendations: Offering suggestions for treatment, accommodations, or further evaluation.
