Leanna Zylstra, BA, MA

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Leanna is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) working out of Bracebridge and Huntsville, ON. She moved to Muskoka in 1986 from Brantford, ON and enjoyed growing up in Bracebridge and seeing all of the changes in the District since then.

Leanna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Law Clerk diploma from Humber College. She is in the practicum component of her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is completing her placement component under the supervision of Vanessa Lewis.

Leanna has been practicing mindfulness and non-secular Buddhism for seven years. She has experience teaching others new skills and working with anxiety and depression. Her love of stories calls her to work in narrative therapy and her religious background makes her open to work with those who are spiritual or religious. Leanna has always prioritized equality and justice and is interested in working with a diverse clientele.

Outside the office, Leanna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, catching up on her extensive list of “to be read” books, watching old movies, and enjoying nature.
